General awareness and understanding is an important first step in choosing a career. This program focuses on providing year 10 students with greater understanding of the industry and the job types available. This program will create a foundation to transition into the Pathways to a Trade program.

In partnership with CQUniversity, Manufacturing Skills Queensland is supporting aspiring engineers and regional businesses. CQUniversity offers an innovative Engineering Cadetships program that combines academic study with hands-on industry experience.

This fully funded 5-week Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) micro-credential equips manufacturers with the understanding and skills necessary to drive practical and meaningful change.

Participants will gain valuable skills that can be embedded within their organisational culture, creating lasting improvements beyond the program’s conclusion.

The Advanced Manufacturing Gateway to Industry Schools project empowers young people to make informed decisions about their future, bridging the gap between education and the workforce. This project is proudly supported and funded by the Queensland Government.

The manufacturing general induction provides a standardised induction program for the manufacturing industry. This program ensures a consistent base level of knowledge for all new workers, introducing them to theoretical concepts relevant for the industry, and allowing businesses to focus on hand-on training and site-specific information.

The Inclusivity in Manufacturing program aims to improve recruitment and retention of people with disabilities in Queensland’s manufacturing industry. Connecting jobseekers with a disability with employers who have existing vacancies, could shift the dial on the employment profile of people with disabilities and improve productivity for manufacturers.

Manufacturing Industry Skills Advisors program (ISA) will engage with employers, small businesses and other industry stakeholders to provide high quality, evidence-based industry advice and intelligence about current and emerging industry direction, regional skills needs and training solutions, jobs growth and employment opportunities.

Many highly skilled manufacturers find themselves facing new challenges when tasked with sharing their expertise. The Industry Trainer Program addresses this by providing the tools and techniques necessary to communicate complex ideas, engage diverse learners, and foster workplace learning.

Manufacturing Industry Workforce Advisors program (IWA) will give you the right workforce planning advice, solutions and connections for your business to grow a diverse and inclusive workforce ready for a thriving future in manufacturing.
