Participants will gain valuable skills that can be embedded within their organisational culture, creating lasting improvements beyond the program’s conclusion.

What’s involved

Participating manufacturers will undertake one of the following:

VALUE STREAM MAPPING (VSM)
Analysing current processes to identify inefficiencies and deliver a customised action plan tailored to each manufacturer’s specific process, including actionable steps to enhance operational efficiency, quality control, and waste reduction. This will involve mapping out current state processes and identifying inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and waste, then conducting root cause analysis to pinpoint key process improvements.

5S/KAIZEN EVENT
If your business has a partial or established VSM, you will undertake 5S/Kaizen Event. This will be focused on a designated onsite workplace review defining a key problem, undertaking root cause analysis to identify key issues, engaging employees from all levels to foster collaboration, implementing and refining solutions using the Plan-Do-Check-Act method and documenting successful practices for long-term sustainability.

Duration

The program will run from April to August 2025 and will be delivered in three tranches. Manufacturers will participate in a structured improvement process, including pre- and post-event evaluations to measure positive impact.
