The Workplace Gender Diversity Assessment (WGDA) is an innovative digital tool designed to support manufacturing employers in fostering gender diversity within their workplaces.

The WGDA features a set of 35 targeted questions that enable employers to assess their current diversity practices. Upon completion, employers will receive a unique ‘diversity score’ along with a tailored report that provides actionable items and recommendations to help them advance their gender diversity efforts. This report is designed to be practical and impactful, offering clear steps to improve inclusion across all levels of the organisation.

The 10 focus areas within the Workplace Gender Diversity Assessment (WGDA) are:

  • Diversity and Inclusion
  • Inclusive Leadership
  • Inclusive Culture
  • Ways of Working
  • Recruitment & Selection
  • Training & Development
  • Feedback
  • Empowerment
  • Policies & Procedures
  • Gender Action Plan

The WGDA aims to empower manufacturing employers with a roadmap to build more equitable, inclusive, and high-performing workplaces.

By focusing on these 10 key areas, the WGDA provides a comprehensive approach to advancing gender diversity, tailored to the unique needs of the manufacturing sector. This tool not only highlights areas of strength but also identifies opportunities for growth, supporting companies in their journey towards greater diversity maturity.
