Pathways to Manufacturing is a comprehensive work-integrated learning program designed to bridge the gap between education and employment in Queensland’s advanced manufacturing sector. Developed by Manufacturing Skills Queensland (MSQ) in collaboration with industry employers and educational institutions, this program provides you with authentic workplace experience and structured pathways to apprenticeships, traineeships, or direct employment.

Through a combination of pre-placement preparation and a 3-week industry placement, you’ll gain hands-on experience in real manufacturing environments while developing the professional skills and industry connections essential for career success.

Pre-requisite Requirements

In order to be eligible for this program you must have:

  • School Support – Approval and endorsement from your educational institution
  • Parent/Guardian Support – Consent and commitment from your parent or guardian
  • Employer Engagement – A manufacturing employer willing to engage you for the duration of the work experience

 

Special Approval Required

This program can only be enrolled in with approval from Manufacturing Skills Queensland.
