Across Queensland, women are welding, engineering, designing, and leading in one of the state’s most vital industries. They’re boilermakers, mechanical fitters, laboratory technicians, and business development managers—and they’re changing the face of manufacturing one shift at a time.
Manufacturing Skills Queensland is providing a platform for these trailblazers to connect with industry, community, schools, and stakeholders. Whether you’re a student exploring career options, an employer building a diverse team, or a community member curious about modern manufacturing, these influencers are here to share their journeys, challenge stereotypes, and inspire the next generation.
It’s hard to imagine yourself in a role you’ve never seen someone like you do. That’s the reality for many women considering manufacturing careers. The Industry Influencer Program changes that by creating a platform for women already thriving in manufacturing to share their stories. Through professional media and presentation training, participants connect with schools, employers, and communities, proving that manufacturing offers creativity, challenge, and genuine career satisfaction. When young women see someone like them doing the work, the possibilities become real.
