Why it’s important Queensland manufacturers cultivate psychologically safe workplaces?

In the dynamic landscape of the Australian manufacturing industry, the significance of psychosocial safety cannot be overstated. It’s not merely an altruistic endeavor, but a strategic imperative directly impacting productivity, innovation, and the overall success of a company.

Research shows one in two Australian workers in industries like manufacturing and mining have experienced bullying, harassment, or inappropriate behaviour at work.

By fostering a workplace culture prioritising the emotional, mental, and social well-being of employees, manufacturers in Queensland fulfill their legal duty to lay the foundation for a prosperous and sustainable future.

Queensland’s manufacturing industry is the of our economy, contributing significantly to its growth and prosperity.

As the industry evolves and adapts to the challenges of the modern working world, it has become increasingly crucial to address the physical aspects of workplace safety and the psychosocial well-being of the workforce.
