Online learning (Industry 4.0, Industry 5.0)

The self-paced online learning module aims to enhance educators’ expertise in contemporary and advanced manufacturing concepts. This program will equip teachers with the latest industry insights, effective pedagogical strategies, and practical skills essential for teaching advanced manufacturing topics effectively.

Industry and educator webinars

The Teacher and Industry Webinar Series connects educators with industry leaders to bridge the gap between education and industry, enhancing understanding of contemporary practices and career pathways across various sub-industries. This initiative features guest speakers from dynamic sectors of manufacturing, offering teachers valuable insights into current trends, skills requirements, and workforce opportunities.

Key components of the program include:

  • Industry engagement: Collaboration with industry leaders to share expertise and real-world applications, deepening educators’ understanding of sub-industries.
  • Professional development: Webinars that equip teachers with applicable knowledge and resources, enhancing their teaching effectiveness.
  • Resource development: Creation of complementary materials for classroom use, ensuring that professional development benefits student learning. These resources will be accessible on the Manufacturing Matters resource hub.

Teachers will receive a certificate of attendance after the webinar to support their continuing professional development (CPD).

Mentoring

Facilitating connections between teachers and industry mentors to enhance their industry knowledge and cultivate valuable professional relationships. This initiative aims to empower educators with firsthand insights and expertise, allowing them to stay updated on industry trends and practices, ultimately enriching the learning experience for their students.
